Sabrina’s studio, San Francisco, CA, Canon Digital Rebel
I went to see my pal Sabrina’s work over the weekend. I am always amazed by her talent, her committment to her art and her incredible passion. (Not to mention that her paintings blow my mind.) Her studio is like an art piece in and of itself-a collage of vintage colorful shoes and furniture, photographs and quotes, books and sequins… girly and lush. So proud and excited for the new directions she is going.
Another incredible photographer here.

The photography site….especially the “movie” that loads at the beginning…made me bawl. Almost too beautiful to be on the internet.
thank you for the link…truly inspiring.
I have one of Sabrina’s pieces in my home — it inspires me every time I walk past it. I can’t imagine what a treat it is to see the place where all that creativity takes place in person.
I’m quite envious!

sabrina is quite an inspiration to me as well. i love her books, especially this last one-the true and the questions. it’s the book i wish i would have written. i find it that incredible.
I am sooo jealous that you got to visit Sabrina and check out her studio. I have been a fan of Sabrina’s ever since her first book came out and even got the chance to meet her the summer of 2004 for a workshop she did that I attended. She’s amazing and truly inspiring. I also have one of her pieces up in my office/studio, and get inspired by looking at it! Thank you for sharing this image!

Ah! I’ve loved her stuff for years! I totally want to take a spilling workshop one day. You live in such a creative womb… how wonderful.

Her studio is my dream. I would love a work/create space like that! She herself is absolutely wonderful. I clutched Brave on the Rocks throughout my whole moving process to NYC.

ooooo. that room is BEAUTIFUL.
I just went to the photographer’s website, and it just absolutely rocks!! Thanks for the link, and all the great links you always provide.
*sigh* oh sabrina… (gazing adoringly)
I just want to wander in that studio & look at all of the art & trinkets & treasures (I see a nifty camera) & soak it all in. Lucky you! I’ve never met her in person, but I enjoy her books & was so bummed when I couldn’t make it to her LA workshop 2 summers ago. I’ve relocated now & keep hoping she’ll have one in Chicago!
Hello Andrea!
Thank you for showing Sabrina’s studio to us. It reminded me to pull out her books and enjoy them all over again.
I am coming to San Diego and San Fransisco from Vancouver and have been scouring your past blogs looking for some of the wonderful places you mention in San Fransisco. Any tips for fabulous things not to be missed on a (short – 5 day) trip to San Fransisco?
I love her work…and wow what a studio…thanks for giving us this little glimpse into her world ?
That studio is awesome. Love the paintings too.
